| Trish has over twenty years experience as a physiotherapist with a strong background in neurophysiology and rehabilitation. She is a graduate of the Dublin School of Physiotherapy and has worked in Ireland, Africa and at McMaster University in Hamilton, before moving to West Vancouver.
Her work experience in Vancouver has included running the neck and back rehabilitation program at Lions Gate Hospital, and working with the North Shore Health post op rehab program at a community level. She has also worked at Women’s Hospital focusing on post partum health and pelvic floor rehabilitation with a special interest in incontinence.
Combining this extensive work experience and her previous dance experience, she has recently developed an interest in movement therapy, teaching awareness through movement with an emphasis on breathing and relaxation. She has also completed the UBC Peer Counseling program and has participated and completed extensive training in Pilates.
Trish first experienced Pilates at Esprit de Core in 2000 when recovering from a discectomy. She has attributed her full recovery, largely to her time re-establishing her core stability and regaining functional movement which in turn allowed her to return to
competitive tennis at a national and provincial level, and a full and active lifestyle.
She looks forward to being part of the team at Esprit de Core working with Mary Sayers and her experienced instructors to provide a safe, stimulating and challenging environment for clients to improve their health and fitness.
